Original fiction kudos

Wow…just…wow. I decided to check around for any interesting original online fiction and bumped into the story “In the Company of Shadows” by Sonny and Ais Creations. This is actually original slash fiction. I read it on aff.net which I rarely go into but I’m really glad I did this time. This story thus far is amazing. The main characters are an assassin, Sin, who appears to be a sociopath and the young man brought in to be his partner. Boyd, the younger of the two is suffering under such a state of apathy that he can’t even bothered to be terrified of Sin as anyone in their right mind would be.

What makes the story so interesting is that the authors really take care to delve into the back story of the characters so that we can gain a clear understanding of what makes them tick and how they got to the point where they are today. It is slash so of course feelings begin to change and things really get rocky when one man, who is emotionally and physically scarred, and another who has never know love try to understand, control and survive what some deem to be an unhealthy attraction to their, respectively, unsuitable partner. All this and I haven’t even finished reading the story yet. After 3 days I am nearing the end of whats been posted and though I’m glad for it, I’ve been enjoying the ride and whatever the next story is that I start will have a lot to live up to.
